Cricket Frog (Acris crepitans blanchardi)

The Cricket frog, Acris crepitans blanchardi, is a small diurnal frog common in sunny wetland habitat in the Austin area. Their call is a distinctive cricket-like clicking sound and can be heard in the Hartman Prehistoric Garden from late winter into the fall.
