Skippers are stout, small butterflies that are often noticed for their erratic, quick flight. Celia's roadside skipper looks dull brown from a distance, but close up it is actually quite speckled on the underside. The tops of the wings are darker brown. The pretty alternating gray and white fringe on its wings wears off as the butterfly ages.
