Vesta Crescent (Phyciodes vesta)

Very similar in appearance to the Pearl Crescent, the Vesta Crescent is another small, orange checkered butterfly. It can be found resting in foliage, where its bright orange and black markings sometimes blend in surprisingly well with the sundappled shadows.
