Many diurnal moths are quite tiny and the Southern Crimson Moth is no exception, measuring about 3/8 inch in length. At times this moth is quite numerous, with several at a time being seen around various flowers. In spite of their small size, their bright pink color makes them easy to spot. The tend to prefer the flowers of salvias.
