Hayhurst's Scallopwing (Staphylus hayhurstii)

Hayhurst's Scallopwing is a species of spread-wing or open-wing skipper. Members of this subfamily tend to rest with their wings flat and open, unlike the folded-wing skippers that hold them upright or folded at different angles. Like all skippers, the scallopwing tends to dart quickly when it flies.
