The lovely Redstripe Ribbon Snake is one of the most slender snakes in our area. This snake can usually be seen in the ponds, where it hunts for fish, frogs, and tadpoles. Ribbon snakes will frequently remain quite still when approached, but if they feel threatened, they can move with alarming speed. Young are born live in late summer.
