One of the most evident of the small songbirds that frequent the Garden, the Carolina Wren sings loudly and just about all the time. The songs vary, but the bird will often call from very close and produce an amazing amount of sound for such a small creature. They prefer to nest in cavities, and nesting material has been found stuffed into small crevices within the stone walls of the Garden.
